Brett started playing soccer with Quebec Dynamo and Charlesbourg Kodiak, before eventually signing with Trois-Rivières Attak of the Canadian Soccer League.[1] His signing was announced in a press conference on February 20, 2008 along with Alex Surprenant, and Danny Anderson.[2] Throughout the 2007 season Brett helped the Attak win their first piece of silverware the Open Canada Cup, and finished runners-up in the National Division. He helped the Attak to qualify for the playoffs but were defeated in the semi-final against the Serbian White Eagles to a score of 2-1.
Brett was re-signed the following season on April 1, 2008.[3] Brett helped the Attak claim the National Division title, and reached the final of the CSL Cup, where once again the Attak were defeated by White Eagles which ended in 2-2 draw and decided through penalties by a score of 2-1.`
Since 2009, Brett is a member of the Beauport Royal-Select of the Ligue de soccer élite du Québec (LSÉQ)[4] and retired in December 2009.
After his retirement was on 17 March 2010 named as the Assistant Coach of the new founded Montreal Impact Academy.[5]
